Description	ELX-02 disulfate is a synthetic eukaryotic ribosome-specific glycoside (ERSG) that induces translation read-through of nonsense mutations, producing normally localized, full-length functional proteins. It can be used to study genetic diseases caused by nonsense mutations.
In vitro	ELX-02 disulfate (10/30 mg/kg; subcutaneous injection; twice weekly for 8 doses) accumulates in tissues in a dose-dependent manner [1]. ELX-02 disulfate administered at 10 mg/kg subcutaneously, both as a single dose and repeatedly (twice weekly for 7 doses), is rapidly absorbed into plasma. The plasma half-life of ELX-02 disulfate is 0.5 hours [1]. In CtnsY226X nonsense mutation mice, ELX-02 disulfate accumulates in renal tissue without apparent nephrotoxicity. Treatment with ELX-02 disulfate (10 mg/kg; twice weekly; for 3 weeks) reduced renal cystine accumulation in vivo [1].
In vivo	ELX-02 disulfate (100-400 μg/mL) can read through nonsense mutations in human cells [1].

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO TargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO TargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH₂O TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
