| Description | (E)-Pyriminobac-methyl is an inhibitor of acetolactate synthase and belongs to the class of pyrimino-benzoic acid ester herbicides. It functions by inhibiting acetolactate synthase, thereby disrupting the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids. This compound exhibits herbicidal activity that is 1.5 to 2 times more effective against Echinochloa crus-galli and Leptochloa chinensis compared to Bensulfuron-methyl. |
| In vitro | (E)-Pyriminobac-methyl inhibits the growth of E. crus-galli (barnyardgrass) and L. chinensis (Chinese foxtail), providing long-term control of these population numbers. |
