| Description | Camobucol is an orally active, anti-inflammatory compound. It also is a phenolic antioxidant with antirheumatic properties. |
| In vitro | Camobucol demonstrates strong antioxidant properties, effectively combating lipid peroxides in vitro and showing improved absorption by cells. It also selectively suppresses levels of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 induced by tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, while minimally affecting E-selectin and not altering intracellular adhesion molecule-1 expression in endothelial cells. Moreover, Camobucol does not interfere with the TNF-α-driven relocation of NF-κB into the nucleus. It further reduces cytokine-stimulated production of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-8 in endothelial cells and human fibroblast-like synoviocytes, and curtails the release of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 after lipopolysaccharide exposure in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
