BP Fluor 405 alkyne triTEA is a blue fluorescent dye frequently used in multicolor applications, such as flow cytometry and super-resolution microscopy employing STORM. It is optimally excited by the 407 nm spectral line of a krypton laser or a 408 nm violet laser diode. BP Fluor 405 alkyne triTEA reacts with azides via a copper-catalyzed click reaction (CuAAC) to form stable triazole linkages. For applications sensitive to the presence of copper, copper-free detection probes (BP Fluor 405 DBCO) are also available.
