| Description | Compound PC-A1 (Antiproliferative agent-48) demonstrates selective antiproliferative activity against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells [1]. |
| In vitro | Antiproliferative agent-48, at concentrations ranging from 5-50 μM, inhibits the proliferation of various cancer cell lines including MDA-MB-231 (TNBC), MCF-7, A549, and KB (HeLa derivative) as well as KB-VIN, with IC50 values of 5.4, 18, 19, 15, and 19 μM respectively [1]. This compound also induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase in MDA-MB-231 cells [1]. In cell proliferation experiments conducted over 72 hours, Antiproliferative agent-48 demonstrated significant inhibition of cellular proliferation at micromolar levels [1]. Cell cycle analysis revealed the blockade of cells in the G2/M phase after 24 hours of incubation [1]. |
