Abz-FRLKGGAPIKGV-EDDNP TFA is a fluorescent substrate used to assess the enzymatic activity of proteases, such as the papain-like protease 2 (PLP2) found in severe SARS-CoV. It shows potential for research into 2019-nCoV (COVID-19) infection.

| Description | Abz-FRLKGGAPIKGV-EDDNP TFA is a fluorescent substrate used to assess the enzymatic activity of proteases, such as the papain-like protease 2 (PLP2) found in severe SARS-CoV. It shows potential for research into 2019-nCoV (COVID-19) infection. |
| In vitro | Abz-FRLKGGAPIKGV-EDDNP TFA exhibits minimal fluorescent emission due to fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between Abz and EDDNP. At pH 7.4, the apparent k_cat and K_m values for this fluorogenic substrate are 20 min^-1 and 77 μM, respectively. Substrate cleavage results in increased fluorescence emission, detected at excitation and emission wavelengths of 320 and 420 nm, respectively, whether or not the chemical compounds are present. |
| Storage | keep away from direct sunlight | store at -20°C | Shipping with blue ice/Shipping at ambient temperature. |
