| In vitro | Methods: A stable isotope dilution method was developed for the quantitative determination of 4-methyl-4-sulfanylpentan-2-one (4MSP) in hops. The method involved the use of 4-(13C)methyl-4-sulfanyl(1,3,5-13C3)pentan-2-one as an internal standard, selective separation of hop thiols on mercapted agarose, and gas chromatography (GC) × gas chromatography-time of flight mass spectrometry (GC-TOFMS) analysis. Results: 4MSP concentrations ranged from less than 1 to 114 μg/kg. [1] |

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
