After coupling Fmoc-Gly-OH to the surface of the amino-modified TiO₂@SiO₂ core-shell material, the Fmoc group can be determined using ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), thereby inferring the quantity of amino groups in this core-shell material [2].
