Description	VPM peptide functions as a protease-cleavable dithiol cross-linker. It is capable of integration into the PEG-diacrylate (PEG-DA) macromer backbone, resulting in the formation of PEG hydrogel.
In vitro	The VPM peptide undergoes rapid cleavage by matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 and MMP-2 proteases[2]. Furthermore, microgels crosslinked with VPM are proteolytically degradable, exhibiting a concentration-dependent degradation rate[2].
