Pep2 peptide-functionalized micelles, when loaded with the anticancer agent doxorubicin, significantly enhance the cellular uptake and cytotoxicity of doxorubicin in HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells that overexpress CD36, compared to micelles without Pep2 peptide.
