| Description | HBV-IN-56 is an orally active inhibitor of HBsAg production. It effectively suppresses HBsAg generation both in vivo and in vitro and is useful for research into chronic hepatitis B virus infection. |
| In vitro | HBV-IN-56 (compound 31) effectively suppresses HBsAg production in primary human hepatocytes infected with HBV, exhibiting an IC50 of 5 nM, and shows no cytotoxicity even at concentrations up to 15,000 nM. In safety analysis tests, HBV-IN-56 (10-50 μM) displays minimal off-target activity, including no significant kinase inhibition, CYP inhibition, hERG channel activity, or genotoxicity. |
| In vivo | HBV-IN-56 (compound 31) administered orally at doses of 0.1-1 mg/kg for 21 days reduces and sustains serum HBsAg levels in humanized FRG mice infected with HBV. In Sprague-Dawley rats, oral administration of HBV-IN-56 at 3-60 mg/kg for 91 days results in a dose- and time-dependent decrease in tail NCV and axonal degeneration, with no recovery observed four weeks post-dosing. |
