Bioactivity

Description	Elcatonin (Carbocalcitonin), a synthetic analog of eel calcitonin, enhances bone mineral density, inhibits bone resorption, and exhibits a central analgesic effect [1].
In vivo	Elcatonin (Carbocalcitonin) at a dosage of 20 U/kg, administered subcutaneously two days after oxaliplatin treatment, reduces oxaliplatin-induced cold and mechanical allodynia in male Sprague-Dawley rats (150-250 g) [2]. [1] Animal Model: Oxaliplatin-Induced Allodynia Models. Result: Attenuated oxaliplatin-induced cold in rats.
