Stability & Storage | Upon receiving, this product remains stable for up to 6 months at lower than -70°C. Upon reconstitution, the product should be stable for up to 1 week at 4°C or up to 3 months at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended that a carrier protein (example 0.1% BSA) be added. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Shipping | In general, Lyophilized powders are shipping with blue ice. Solutions are shipping with dry ice. |
Research Background | Interleukin-4 Receptor, also known as IL-4RA and CD124, is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the class I receptor family. It is highly expressed by activated T-cells. IL-4RA couples with γ chain to form the type I receptor for IL-4. The extracellular domain of IL-4RA binds to IL-4 and antagonizes its activity. IL-4RA plays an important role in Th2 cell differentiation, Ig class switching and alternative macrophage activation. It has also been implicated in allergic inflammation, tumor progression and atherogenesis. |
