Bradford is one of the classic methods for protein concentration determination, widely used for rapid quantification of protein samples, with advantages such as high sensitivity, easy operation, low cost, and fast detection speed. The detection principle of Bradford protein concentration assay kit is based on the absorbance change that occurs when Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 dye binds to proteins. Under acidic conditions, the dye changes from red to blue and specifically binds to basic amino acid residues (such as arginine and lysine) in proteins to form complexes, causing the maximum absorption wavelength of the dye to shift from 465 nm to 595 nm. This change in absorbance value is proportional to protein concentration and can be used for quantitative analysis of protein content.
