Encainide (MJ9067), a class IC antiarrhythmic drug, holds potential for research into life-threatening and symptomatic ventricular arrhythmias as well as supraventricular arrhythmias.

| Description | Encainide (MJ9067), a class IC antiarrhythmic drug, holds potential for research into life-threatening and symptomatic ventricular arrhythmias as well as supraventricular arrhythmias. |
| In vivo | Encainide, administered in single doses via infusion at 0.3, 0.9, and 2.7 mg/kg, extends the His-Purkinje conduction time (HV interval) and intra-ventricular conduction time (QRS duration). However, it does not influence the sinus nodal recovery time or the AV nodal conduction. Additionally, it does not affect the refractoriness of the atrium, AV node, or ventricular myocardium, nor does it impact the QT interval[1]. |
