| In vivo | Macaques were administered DISC-0974 intravenously at doses of 0, 0.3, 1, and 6 mg/kg. The results showed that DISC-0974 was well tolerated, and no adverse reactions related to DISC-0974 were observed. [1] Methods: An IL-6-induced inflammatory iron deficiency model was established in crab-eating macaques. The animals were treated with 0, 0.6, or 6 mg/kg of DISC-0974. Levels of hepcidin-25 and transferrin saturation (TSAT) were measured to evaluate the regulatory effect of the antibody on inflammation-mediated iron metabolism disorders. Results: DISC-0974 dose-dependently suppressed IL-6-induced increases in hepcidin and significantly increased transferrin saturation, effectively improving impaired iron utilization under inflammatory conditions, thereby providing a new mechanism for the treatment of inflammatory anemia.[2] |
