Product Introduction

Bioactivity
Description
Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-APC (8A125) is a APC-conjugated Mouse antibody targeting Siglec-5. Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-APC (8A125) can be used in FCM.
Ig Type
Monoclonal Mouse IgG1
Clone
8A125
Reactivity
Human
Verified Activity
Flow cytometric analysis of Mouse SIRPA(CD172a) expression on BABL/c bone marrow cells. Cells were stained with APC-conjugated anti-Mouse SIRPA(CD172a). The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells.
Application
FCM
Recommended Dose
5 μl/Test, 0.1 mg/ml
Antibody Type
Monoclonal
Host SpeciesMouse
ConstructionThis antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human SIGLEC5 (rh SIGLEC5; TMPY-03549; O15389; Met1-Thr 434) and conjugated with APC under optimum conditions, the unreacted APC was removed.

FormulationPBS solution containing 0.5% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide
Research BackgroundSIGLEC5 contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. SIGLEC5 is expressed by monocytic/myeloid lineage cells. It is found at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, bone marrow and at lower levels in lymph node, lung, appendix, placenta, pancreas and thymus. It is also expressed by monocytes and neutrophils but absent from leukemic cell lines representing early stages of myelomonocytic differentiation. SIGLEC5 is a putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. It binds equally to alpha-2,3-linked and alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface.
