| Description | Anti-CEP55 Polyclonal Antibody is a Rabbit antibody targeting CEP55. Anti-CEP55 Polyclonal Antibody can be used in WB,FCM. |
| Ig Type | IgG |
| Reactivity | Mouse (predicted:Human,Rat,Dog,Pig,Horse,Sheep) |
| Verified Activity | 1. Blank control: Mouse kidney. Primary Antibody (green line): Rabbit Anti-CEP55 antibody (TMAB-04249) Dilution: 2 μg /10^6 cells; Isotype Control Antibody (orange line): Rabbit IgG. Secondary Antibody: Goat anti-rabbit IgG-AF488 Dilution: 1 μg /test. Protocol The cells were fixed with 4% PFA (10 min at room temperature) and then permeabilized with 0.1% PBST for 20 min at room temperature. The cells were then incubated in 5% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions for 30 min at room temperature. Cells stained with Primary Antibody for 30 min at room temperature. The secondary antibody used for 40 min at room temperature. Acquisition of 20,000 events was performed. 2. Sample: Testis (Mouse) Lysate at 40 μg Primary: Anti-CEP55 (TMAB-04249) at 1/1000 dilution Secondary: IRDye800CW Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1/20000 dilution Predicted band size: 54 kD Observed band size: 52 kD |

| Subcellular Localization | Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, centrosome, centriole. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, centrosome. Cleavage furrow. Midbody. Note=Present at the centrosomes at interphase. A small portion is associated preferentially with the mother centriole, whereas the majority localizes to the pericentriolar material. During mitosis, loss of affinity for the centrosome at the onset of prophase and diffusion throughout the cell. This dissociation from the centrosome is phosphorylation-dependent. May remain localized at the centrosome during mitosis in certain cell types. Appears at the cleavage furrow in late anaphase and in the midbody in cytokinesis. |
| Tissue Specificity | Widely expressed, mostly in proliferative tissues. Highly expressed in testis. Intermediate levels in adult and fetal thymus, as well as in various cancer cell lines. Low levels in different parts of the digestive tract, bone marrow, lymph nodes, placenta, fetal heart and fetal spleen. Hardly detected in brain. |
