FormulationLyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 2× PBS, pH 7.4.
ReconstitutionReconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile deionized water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1 % BSA. The product concentration should not be less than 100 μg/mL. Before opening, centrifuge the tube to collect powder at the bottom. After adding the reconstitution buffer, avoid vortexing or pipetting for mixing.

Research Background
CX3CL1 recently identified through bioinformatics is the only known member of the CX3C chemokine family and it is also commonly known under the names fractalkine (in humans) and neurotactin (in mice). Unlike other known chemokines, CX3CL1 is a type 1 membrane protein containing a chemokine domain tethered on a long mucinlike talk. The soluble form of CX3CL1 is chemotactic for T-cells and monocytes, but not for neutrophils. In addition, it may play a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium. Recombinant Rat CX3CL1 contains 76 amino acids and it shares approximately 86 % and 83 % amino acid sequence homology with the murine and human protein.

Storage & Solubility Information
ShippingIn general, lyophilized powders are shipped with blue ice, while solutions are shipped with dry ice.
StorageLyophilized powders can be stably stored for over 12 months, while liquid products can be stored for 6-12 months at -80°C. For reconstituted protein solutions, the solution can be stored at -20°C to -80°C for at least 3 months. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and store products in aliquots.
