Pain generation is a complex process involving multiple aspects, including physiological, psychological, and neurobiological factors. 1. Activate nociceptors: nociceptors are specialized sensory nerve endings distributed in the skin, internal organs, skeletal muscles, and joints that detect harmful stimuli. 2. Release pain-inducing substances: when tissue damage occurs, various pain-inducing substances are released, such as histamine, bradykinin, serotonin, acetylcholine, and prostaglandins. These substances can activate nociceptors. Additionally, the mechanisms of pain also encompass neural signal transmission, central regulation, psychological factors, and more.
