| Verified Activity | 1. ICC staining Wilms Tumor Protein in Hela cells (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS. 2. ICC staining Wilms Tumor Protein in LO2 cells (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS. 3. ICC staining Wilms Tumor Protein in PC-3M cells (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS. 4. Flow cytometric analysis of K562 cells with Wilms Tumor Protein antibody at 1/50 dilution (red) compared with an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody; black). Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti rabbit IgG was used as the secondary antibody. 5. All lanes use the Antibody at 1:1K dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. 6. All lanes use the Antibody at 1:1K dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. 7. Western blot analysis of WT1 expression in K562 cell lysate. 8. | Research Background | Transcription factor that plays an important role in cellular development and cell survival (PubMed:7862533). Recognizes and binds to the DNA sequence 5'-GCG(T/G)GGGCG-3'. Regulates the expression of numerous target genes, including EPO. Plays an essential role for development of the urogenital system. It has a tumor suppressor as well as an oncogenic role in tumor formation. |
