Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-FITC (8A125) is a FITC-conjugated Mouse antibody targeting Siglec-5. Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-FITC (8A125) can be used in FCM.
Description | Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-FITC (8A125) is a FITC-conjugated Mouse antibody targeting Siglec-5. Anti-Siglec-5 Antibody-FITC (8A125) can be used in FCM. |
Ig Type | Monoclonal Mouse IgG1 |
Clone | 8A125 |
Reactivity | Human |
Verified Activity | Flow cytometric analysis of Human SIGLEC5(CD170) expression on human whole blood granulocytes. Cells were stained with FITC-conjugated anti-Human SIGLEC5(CD170). The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of viable granulocytes. |
Application | FCM |
Recommended Dose | 10 μl/Test, 0.1 mg/ml |
Antibody Type | Monoclonal |
Host Species | Mouse |
Construction | This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human SIGLEC5 (rh SIGLEC5; TMPY-03549; O15389; Met1-Thr 434) and conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, the unreacted FITC was removed. |
Purification | Protein A |
Appearance | Liquid |
Formulation | PBS solution containing 0.5% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide |
Research Background | SIGLEC5 contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. SIGLEC5 is expressed by monocytic/myeloid lineage cells. It is found at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, bone marrow and at lower levels in lymph node, lung, appendix, placenta, pancreas and thymus. It is also expressed by monocytes and neutrophils but absent from leukemic cell lines representing early stages of myelomonocytic differentiation. SIGLEC5 is a putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. It binds equally to alpha-2,3-linked and alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. |
Conjucates | FITC |
Others Formats | Unconjugated/APC/PE |
Antibody Types Available | 4 |
Immunogen | Recombinant Human SIGLEC5 protein (TMPY-03549) |
Antigen Species | Human |
Biology Area | ITIM/ITAM Immunoreceptors and Related Molecules |
Stability & Storage | Store at 2°C-8°C for 12 months, do not freeze. Keep away from direct sunlight. Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Flush with large volumes of water during disposal. |
Transport | Shipping with blue ice. |
