Research Background | Fucosyltransferase IV (FUT4) is the key enzyme for the biosynthesis of alpha1,3-fucosylated glycans carried by glycoproteins, and the previous studies showed FUT4 expression changed dynamically during perimplantation. miR-200c and FUT4 may be applied together as the potential markers for endometrial receptivity, and useful diagnostic and therapeutic targets for infertility. Increased expression of fucosyltransferase4 (FUT4) has been reported to be associated with the invasive and metastatic properties of colorectal cancer (CRC). Fucosyltransferase IV (FUT4) is associated with the proliferation and metastasis of breast cancer, FUT4 can serve as a novel biomarker in the diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer. FUT4 is an essential enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of Lewis Y (LeY) oligosaccharides. |
