| Verified Activity | 1. 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed Hela (H) cell; Triton X-100 at r. T. for 20 min; Antibody incubation with (SENP1) monoclonal Antibody, unconjugated (TMAB-12654) 1:100, 90 min at 37°C; followed by conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG antibody (green) at 37°C for 90 min, DAPI (blue) was used to stain the cell nuclei. PBS instead of the primary antibody was used as the blank control. 2. 25 μg total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with SENP1 monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (TMAB-12654) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r. T. for 60 min. |

| Research Background | Protease that catalyzes two essential functions in the SUMO pathway. The first is the hydrolysis of an alpha-linked peptide bond at the C-terminal end of the small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) propeptides, SUMO1, SUMO2 and SUMO3 leading to the mature form of the proteins. |
| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide: human SENP1 |
| Antigen Species | Human |
| Gene Name | SENP1 |
| Gene ID | |
| Protein Name | Sentrin-specific protease 1 |
| Uniprot ID | |
| Function | Protease that catalyzes two essential functions in the SUMO pathway: processing of full-length SUMO1, SUMO2 and SUMO3 to their mature forms and deconjugation of SUMO1, SUMO2 and SUMO3 from targeted proteins. Deconjugates SUMO1 from HIPK2. Deconjugates SUMO1 from HDAC1, which decreases its transcriptional repression activity. |
| Molecular Weight | Theoretical: 73 kDa. Actual: 73 kDa. |
