| Description | Anti-SEC23 Antibody (3I91) is a Rabbit antibody targeting SEC23. Anti-SEC23 Antibody (3I91) can be used in WB,FCM. |
| Ig Type | IgG |
| Clone | 3I91 |
| Reactivity | Human |
| Verified Activity | 1. Western blot analysis of HeLa cell lysate. Using SEC23 (TMAB-12618) monoclonal antibody at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r. T. for 60 min. 2. The Hela (H) cells were fixed with 4% PFA (10 min at r. T.) and then permeabilized with 90% ice-cold methanol for 20 min at -20℃, the cells then were incubated in 5% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions (30 min at r. T.), followed by secondary antibody incubation for 40 min at room temperature. Primary Antibody (green): Rabbit Anti-SEC23 antibody (TMAB-12618, 1:100); Isotype Control (orange): Rabbit IgG. Blank control (black): PBS. Acquisition of 20,000 events was performed. |

| Subcellular Localization | Smooth endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Golgi apparatus membrane. In the ribosome-free transitional face of the ER and associated vesicles. |
| Construction | Recombinant Antibody |
| Purification | Protein A purified |
| Appearance | Liquid |
| Formulation | 10mM phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.4) with 150mM sodium chloride, 0.05% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% glycerol. |
| Research Background | Component of the coat protein complex II (COPII) which promotes the formation of transport vesicles from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The coat has two main functions, the physical deformation of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane into vesicles and the selection of cargo molecules for their transport to the Golgi complex. Required for the translocation of insulin-induced glucose transporter SLC2A4/GLUT4 to the cell membrane (By similarity). |
| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide: human Sec23A |
| Antigen Species | Human |
| Gene Name | SEC23A |
| Gene ID | |
| Protein Name | Protein transport protein Sec23A |
| Uniprot ID | |
| Function | Component of the COPII coat, that covers ER-derived vesicles involved in transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. COPII acts in the cytoplasm to promote the transport of secretory, plasma membrane, and vacuolar proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex. |
| Molecular Weight | Theoretical: 86 kDa. Actual: 86 kDa. |
