Description | Anti-MICA Antibody (3K607) is a Mouse antibody targeting MICA. Anti-MICA Antibody (3K607) can be used in ELISA,FCM. |
Alias | PERB11.1, MIC-A, MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A, MGC21250, MGC111087, FLJ60820, FLJ36918, DAMA-345G11.2 |
Ig Type | Monoclonal Mouse IgG1 |
Clone | 3K607 |
Reactivity | Human |
Verified Activity | Flow cytometric analysis of Human MICA expression on HeLa cells. Cells were stained with purified anti-Human MICA, then a FITC-conjugated second step antibody. The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells. |
Application | ELISA,FCM |
Recommended Dose | ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000; FCM: 1:25-1:100 |
Antibody Type | Monoclonal |
Host Species | Mouse |
Construction | This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human MICA (rh MICA; TMPY-02053; AAH16929.1; Met1-Gln308). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
Purification | Protein A |
Appearance | Liquid |
Formulation | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS |
Research Background | MHC class I chain-related molecules A (MICA) is one of the genes in the HLA class I region, which belongs to the MHC class I family. It is the member of the non-classical class I family that displays the greatest degree of polymorphism. The MICA protein product is expressed on the cell surface, although unlike canonical class I molecules do not seem to associate with beta-2-microglobulin. It is thought that MICA functions as a stress-induced antigen that is broadly recognized by NK cells, NKT cells, and most of the subtypes of T cells. The Natural killer group 2D (NKG2D), a C-type lectin-like activating immunoreceptor, is a receptor of MICA, which was detected on most gamma-delta T cells, CD8+ alpha-beta T cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. Effector cells from all these subsets could be stimulated by the ligation of NKG2D. Engagement of NKG2D activated cytolytic responses of gamma-delta T cells and NK cells against transfectants and epithelial tumor cells expressing MICA. The MICA system is a novel, avidin-free immunohistochemical detection system that provides a significant increase in sensitivity compared to traditional immunodetection systems. |
