| Ig Type | IgG |
| Reactivity | Human,Rat (predicted:Mouse) |
| Verified Activity | 1. Hela cell; 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed; Triton X-100 at room temperature for 20 min; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 20 min; Antibody incubation with (MAPK4) polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-08588) 1:100, 90 minutes at 37°C; followed by a conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG antibody at 37°C for 90 minutes, DAPI (blue) was used to stain the cell nuclei. 2. Blank control: Hela. Primary Antibody (green line): Rabbit Anti-MAPK4 antibody (TMAB-08588) Dilution: 2 μg/Test; Secondary Antibody: Goat anti-rabbit IgG-FITC Dilution: 0.5 μg/Test. Protocol The cells were fixed with 4% PFA (10 min at room temperature) and then permeabilized with 90% ice-cold methanol for 20 min at -20℃. The cells were then incubated in 5% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions for 30 min at room temperature. Cells stained with Primary Antibody for 30 min at room temperature. The secondary antibody used for 40 min at room temperature. Acquisition of 20,000 events was performed. 3. Tissue/cell: rat brain tissue; 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed and paraffin-embedded; Antigen retrieval: citrate buffer (0.01 M, pH 6.0), Boiling bathing for 15 min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% Hydrogen peroxide for 30 min; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37℃ for 20 min; Incubation: Anti-MAPK4 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-08588) 1: 200, overnight at 4°C, followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining 4. Independently Validated Antibody, image provided by Science Direct, badge number 029727:Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded human heart labeled with Rabbit Anti-ERK4 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-08588) at 1: 250 overnight at 4C followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining |

| Research Background | Mitogen-activated protein kinase 4 is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family. Tyrosine kinase growth factor receptors activate mitogen-activated protein kinases which then translocate into the nucleus where it phosphorylates nuclear targets. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
| Immunogen | KLH conjugated synthetic peptide: human MAPK4 |
| Antigen Species | Human |
| Gene Name | MAPK4 |
| Gene ID | |
| Protein Name | Mitogen-activated protein kinase 4 |
| Uniprot ID | |
| Function | Atypical MAPK protein. Phosphorylates microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2) and MAPKAPK5. The precise role of the complex formed with MAPKAPK5 is still unclear, but the complex follows a complex set of phosphorylation events: upon interaction with atypical MAPKAPK5, ERK4/MAPK4 is phosphorylated at Ser-186 and then mediates phosphorylation and activation of MAPKAPK5, which in turn phosphorylates ERK4/MAPK4. May promote entry in the cell cycle (By similarity). |
