Description | Anti-LAMP2 Antibody (1I210) is a Mouse antibody targeting LAMP2. Anti-LAMP2 Antibody (1I210) can be used in FCM. |
Alias | lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2, LGP110, LAMPB, LAMP-2, CD107b |
Ig Type | Monoclonal Mouse IgG1 |
Clone | 1I210 |
Reactivity | Human |
Verified Activity | Flow cytometric analysis of Human LAMP2(CD107b) expression on Jurkat cells. The cells were treated according to manufacturer’s manual (BD Pharmingen™ Cat. No. 554714), stained with purified anti-Human LAMP2(CD107b), then a FITC-conjugated second step antibody. The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells. |
Application | FCM |
Recommended Dose | FCM: 1:25-1:100 |
Antibody Type | Monoclonal |
Host Species | Mouse |
Construction | This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human LAMP2/CD107b (rh LAMP2/CD107b; TMPY-04115; NP_054701.1; Met1-Ile375). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |

Research Background | LAMP2 (Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 2) is a Protein Coding gene. LAMP2, also known as CD107b (Cluster of Differentiation 107b), is a member of a family of membrane glycoproteins. This glycoprotein provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands. It may play a role in tumor cell metastasis. It may also function in the protection, maintenance, and adhesion of the lysosome. In humans, LAMP2, the causative gene of Danon disease, located on chromosome Xq24, encodes the lysosome-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2). LAMP-2 deficiency, or Danon disease, is a rare X-linked lysosomal disease characterized by cardiomyopathy, vacuolar myopathy, and mental retardation. LAMP2 cardiomyopathy is an X-linked and highly progressive myocardial storage disorder associated with diminished survival, which clinically resembles sarcomeric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. |
