1. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (human spleen); Antigen retrieval by boiling in E sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15 min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30 min; Incubation with (Lactoferrin) Monoclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-08184) at 1: 200 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit (Mouse) instructions and DAB staining.

Lactoferroxin A shows preference for mu-receptors, while lactoferroxin B and C have somewhat higher degrees of preference for kappa-receptors than for mu-receptors. The lactotransferrin transferrin-like domain 1 functions as a serine protease of the peptidase S60 family that cuts arginine rich regions. This function contributes to the antimicrobial activity.
