| Verified Activity | 1. 25 μg total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with GLUT2 monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (TMAB-06550) at 1: 2000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r. T. for 60 min. 2. 25 μg total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with GLUT2 monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (TMAB-06550) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r. T. for 60 min. 3. The HepG2 (H) cells were fixed with 4% PFA (10 min at r. T.) and then permeabilized with 90% ice-cold methanol for 20 min at -20℃, the cells then were incubated in 5% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions (30 min at r. T.), followed by secondary antibody incubation for 40 min at room temperature. Primary Antibody (green): Rabbit Anti-GLUT2 antibody (TMAB-06550): 1 μg/10^6 cells; Isotype Control (orange): Rabbit IgG. Blank control (black): PBS. Acquisition of 20,000 events was performed. |

| Research Background | Facilitative hexose transporter that mediates the transport of glucose, fructose and galactose. Likely mediates the bidirectional transfer of glucose across the plasma membrane of hepatocytes and is responsible for uptake of glucose by the beta cells; may comprise part of the glucose-sensing mechanism of the beta cell. |
| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide: human GLUT2 |
| Antigen Species | Human |
| Gene Name | SLC2A2 |
| Gene ID | |
| Protein Name | Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 2 |
| Uniprot ID | |
| Function | Facilitative glucose transporter. This isoform likely mediates the bidirectional transfer of glucose across the plasma membrane of hepatocytes and is responsible for uptake of glucose by the beta cells; may comprise part of the glucose-sensing mechanism of the beta cell. May also participate with the Na(+)/glucose cotransporter in the transcellular transport of glucose in the small intestine and kidney. |
