1. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (mouse pancreas); Antigen retrieval by microwave in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0); Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer (3% BSA) at RT for 30 min; Antibody incubation with (EIF5) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-05525) at 1:400 overnight at 4℃, followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody (labeled with HRP) and DAB staining.
2. 3. 25 μg total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with EIF5 polyclonal antibody, unconjugated (TMAB-05525) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r. T. for 60 min.

Catalyzes the hydrolysis of GTP bound to the 40S ribosomal initiation complex (40S.mRNA.Met-tRNA[F].eIF-2.GTP) with the subsequent joining of a 60S ribosomal subunit resulting in the release of eIF-2 and the guanine nucleotide. The subsequent joining of a 60S ribosomal subunit results in the formation of a functional 80S initiation complex (80S.mRNA.Met-tRNA[F]).
