Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (rat lung tissue); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15 min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30 min; Antibody incubation with (AMCase) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (TMAB-02508) at 1: 200 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit (Rabbit) instructions and DAB staining.

CHIA degrades chitin and chitotriose. May participate in the defense against nematodes and other pathogens. There are 3 named isoforms produced by alternative splicing. CHIA is induced via a T helper-2 (Th2)-specific, interleukin-13-mediated pathway in epithelial cells and macrophages.
