Thalidomide-5-CH2-NH2 (hydrochloride) is a Thalidomide derivative that acts as a cereblon ligand for CRBN protein recruitment. This compound can be linked to a protein ligand via a linker to form PROTACs.
In vitro
PROTACs consist of two ligands linked together: one binding to an E3 ubiquitin ligase and the other to the target protein. They utilize the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system to selectively degrade target proteins[2].
