| Description | Hydroquinone-d4 (Quinol-d4) is the deuterium-labeled version of Hydroquinone. Hydroquinone (Quinol; 1,4-Benzenediol) acts as an antioxidant and serves as a synthetic intermediate in dyes, engine fuels, and oils. It is a primary metabolite of benzene and can increase carcinogenic risk by inducing DNA damage. Hydroquinone also promotes tumor cell growth and suppresses immune responses. It induces apoptosis in neutrophils and eosinophils through the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway (Caspase9/3). Hydroquinone is highly toxic to aquatic organisms but less harmful to bacteria and fungi. |
