ERRγ agonist-1 can be used in neuropsychological disorders research. ERRγ agonist-1 increases the ERRγ transcriptional activities that is a potent agonist of ERRγ [1].

ERRγ agonist-1 (Compound 5d), at a concentration of 5 μM over three days, significantly enhances the expression of markers for dopaminergic neuron phenotype, namely tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and dopamine transporter (DAT), in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells [1]. This elevation in dopaminergic markers is attributed to ERRγ agonist-1's activation of the CREB-signaling pathway, leading to an induction of dopaminergic neuronal phenotypes. Western Blot analysis confirms the increased levels of TH and DAT in SH-SY5Y cells under these conditions [1].
