| Description | Antibacterial agent 122 (compound 15) is a thiourea derivative used in tuberculosis research, demonstrating low cytotoxicity and anti-mycobacterial activity [1]. |
| In vitro | Antibacterial agent 122 (compound 15) (25-200 μM, 24 h) inhibits M. tuberculosis H37Rv with an MIC50 of 5.9 μM, reduces NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells with an IC50 of 8.1 μM, scavenges NO with an IC50 of 184.2 μM, and nearly completely inhibits iNOS expression at 100 μM [1]. Additionally, at concentrations of 0-200 μM, it inhibits TNF-α and IL-1β production in LPS-stimulated macrophages with IC50 values of 28.4 μM and 47.9 μM, respectively. Furthermore, at 25-100 μM over 4 days, it inhibits M. tuberculosis M299 with an MIC50 of 24.7 μM [1]. |
