In vitro	A concentration of 1-2 mM 2-Keto-D-galactose completely inhibits the proliferation of in vitro grown Ehrlich ascites tumor cells without significantly impacting viability (dye exclusion test). At 2 mM, 2-Keto-D-galactose also comparably inhibits DNA synthesis.
